Thanks, Kim! I'll have to keep up with your posts as well. I'm sure the amount of time we're compressing our "Mom To-Do Lists" into will be labeled as some kind of syndrome by the time our kids are moms, but for now, it works!

Thanks Brian! I really recommend reading it. For me at least, it helped put a more concrete explanation behind why we can show such great willpower and perseverance some times--and in certain areas of our lives--but not others. Thanks again for the comment.

How can I resist - here's mine. - Annette :)

1.) What is your favorite word?

How can I pick just one?

2.) What is your least favorite word?

Nude (Weird I know, but it bugs me.)

3.) What turns you on?

An intelligent sense of humor

4.) What turns you off?

Ignorance

5.) What sound or noise do you love?

My son laughing

6.) What sound or noise do you hate?

Well, the woman in the seat behind me on the train this morning spent most of the trip filing her nails with an emery board - have to say that's right up there.

7.) What is your favorite curse word?

The f-bomb. (Although memories of my dad's "Jesus, Mary & Jospeh!" when he was ticked off at something during my childhood is a close second - he's not the cursing type, so when you heard this, you knew it meant business.)

8.) What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

I'm with Patty, often thought about psychology

9.) What profession would you not like to do?

High rise steel worker (I have an insane fear of heights!)

10.) If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

Wait until you see this.

Thanks Patty! What's really sad is that I don't see Skippy Dies showing up on a lot of "best of year" lists. I suspected that might happen because it doesn't fall in the high literary category, but it's hard to imagine a more entertaining read in 2011.

Loved "Skippy Dies" by Paul Murray. Exactly my kind of book. Funny, but also poignant (and pretty dark). If anyone knows of any others that fit that combo, post them here. Like books that make me laugh and cry.

If you liked "Dragon Tattoo" you should definitely check out Jo Nesbo. I mentioned "The Snowman" on my list, but I know his new Harry Hole novel "The Leopard" comes out tomorrow and is getting a lot of attention. Happy reading!

Thanks for this Patty. I had blown past this app thinking it didn't look so good but your image made me take a new look at it. I love it. I have some pictures with really ugly backgrounds shot with a phone camera so there is a deep depth of field (=yuk) so this app makes them look so much more interesting. And Photoshop has no filter which is even remotely like this so I think we're onto something here.

Thanks for this Patty. I had blown past this app thinking it didn’t look so good but your image made me take a new look at it. I love it. I have some pictures with really ugly backgrounds shot with a phone camera so there is a deep depth of field (=yuk) so this app makes them look so much more interesting. And Photoshop has no filter which is even remotely like this so I think we’re onto something here.

Tony, glad to see the transformation from one of the communications in the business. I too was a tardy convert, but not as late as you! Apple is "Click, boom amazing." No doubt about it. Here's my recent tribute: http://brianpatrickjensen.com/?p=971

I guess the office workers of Japan have no sense of humor!

(Lack of) telephone etiquette is a major pet peeve for me. Eating, chewing, drinking, swallowing is not multi-tasking while having a phone conversation, it's just rude. Answering your phone and having a phone conversation while in the bathroom is rude! I don't need to hear whatever it is you are doing!

If you can afford a Mercedes you can afford a Blue Tooth! Texting while driving?! What could be that important unless your ordering your coffin!

Jen! Go for it! In a crazy way, it sounds like fun. Definitely something to talk about. I'm currently doing a Couchto5k training - or as I call it "FA25K." My biggest motivator is that you can always stop and walk if you have to - let yourself have fun without too much pressure :) Good luck!
